Currently: blogging for the sake of blogging

[Blogger’s note: I haven’t been updating this blog for such a long time. My fault. I guess it’s because I’m currently maintaining three blogs (HERE, HERE, and HERE) and I’m not the type of person who often cross-posts blog entries. Whenever I’d feel like blogging about something, I’d blog on whatever blog I’d feel like blogging in. Unlike my two other blogs that involve networking, this blog remains independent. There isn’t a Friends’ page to view and read friends’ entries from… there isn’t a page either that allows me to view all multimedia posts from contacts. Unlike my two other blogs, this one remains in solitude. I’m trying my best to revive this blog again.]

Just this morning, I received an e-mail stating that Ma’am Pia Acevedo (incumbent OSA Director) was resigning from her post. It was something unexpected—I had to read the e-mail twice to confirm what I read. Most recently, I received an e-mail from the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo (COA), confirming that Ma’am Pia did file her resignation. Now I can’t help but wonder whether all the plans we had during the FormSem will push through with a new director. Oh, well…time will tell.

This was taken from Omi‘s blog:

I met with Ms. Pia this afternoon in OSA. She explained the reason behind her resignation.

She had to resign from OSA because her two sons are suffering from tuberculosis. Since the beginning of the year, her two sons have been sickly. They have been absent for quite some time from their classes. At first they were diagnosed with “primary complex” (early stage of TB for kids). But during our Sanggu formsem, she found out that it has already developed into full-blown TB.

During the course of the year, the one taking care of her kids was her husband since she’s been very busy with OSA. Sir Jim Acevedo is currently working on his PhD. Unfortunately, since he had to take care of his sick children, his academic performance was being affected.

The bottom line of Ms. Pia’s resignation is that she wanted to give more time for her family. Her job in OSA consumes much of her time and energy for her family. Her presence is needed especially in these crucial months to take care of her children.

I hope all will be well with Ma’am Pia and her family.

Life in general is pretty much the same. Busy with schoolwork, busy with orgwork. Blogging is actually a guilty pleasure of mine, especially when I want to procrastinate badly. HAHA! And oh, I so wanna have a new blog layout! Let’s see how I can manage to squeeze in some time to do that in the midst of acads, org, and personal life. HAHA!

Okay, I am so not making any sense __ I sound like a stupid idiot trying to blog for the sake of blogging (which I am! ahem! xD)

Anyhoo, I only have one class for the summer. I’m taking Eco111 under Bianca Macaisa. She seems pretty nice so far. Let’s see how this goes as the summer progresses.

XOXO

Over and out.
