I miss the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.” * sniff * Perhaps it’s because I’ve grown so used to them being the only “7 Wonders.” Perhaps it’s because I found those 7 Wonders to be majestic in their own way, and that it was sad to see them “go”. Having grown up watching Indiana Jones flicks, I dreamt of becoming an archaeologist or treasure hunter, discovering things from the past. The 7 Wonders were somewhat that past. The past has always intrigued me in some way—early civilizations, traditions, architecture…you name it. And just like the course of life, the past remains the past—with the present to live out, and the future to look forward to.
I guess it’s time to move on and actually live amongst 7 Wonders of the World that were actually “alive” and “well” — unlike the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World that no longer exist, sans the Great Pyramids of Giza (I wonder why it didn’t win this time…not too modern, eh? xD I’m kinda sad and disappointed that it wasn’t considered this time around.).
I want to travel the world and visit all of the 7 Modern-Day Wonders. Too bad I’ve only been to the Colosseum. >_<
As for the 7 Wonders Finalists, I’ve only gone to the Eiffel Tower.
I want to go back to Europe someday….someday.
